Sarri ready to sacrifice 2 Chelsea stars to sign Higuain from Juventus
Chelsea new coach Maurizio Sarri is reportedly willing to sacrifice both Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata in order to sign Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus.
The Italian coach was appointed as the Blues’ new manager on Saturday, July,14, on a three-year deal after Antonio Conte was finally sacked on Friday.
The 59-year-old is wasting no time in bolstering his squad, with Chelsea announcing the signing of Jorginho from Napoli in a deal worth up to £57m
According to The Mirror, Sarri is ready to raid Juventus for striker Higuain, a former old Napoli boy and the report states he is offering Spaniard Morata as bait.
Juventus are believed to be willing to sell the 30-year-old Argentine, who they signed two years ago after their blockbuster capture of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
The Turin giants are looking to recoup a similar figure to what they paid Napoli for the Argentine hitman.
And Giroud, who only arrived in from Arsenal in January, looks like he could be another casualty of the new regime.
